The brain is the most (complex 1) organ in the (human 2) body. (It 3) produces our thought, action, memory, feeling and experience of the world. The jelly-like mass of tissues, weighs around 1.4 kilograms, contains one hundred billion nerve cells, or neurons. The complexity of the connectivity between these cells is great. Each neuron can make contact with thousands or even tens of thousands of others through tiny structure called synapses. No two brains are alike. It is often said that the right half of the brain is more creative and emotional and the left deals with logic. The two halves have some specializations, the left deals with speech and language, and the right with locations and body awareness. The mid brain and the brain stem control the unconscious functions such as breathing, heart rate, blood pressure, sleep pattern and so on. They also control signals that pass between the brain and the rest of the body through spinal cord.
